I just wanted to take the time to tell you that the advice you have given me on what to do about my boyfriend really helped me realize that there are so many other men in the sea. And if he can't see that what he has is the most precious thing in the world then I don't need him and it will be his lost and somebody elses gain. I had to let go no matter how hurt I knew I was going to be. I deserve better and I will find it. Maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow but he will come and I'll be waiting for my MR. RIGHT. I'm having some big problems with my current man (of 2 months) and was searching the internet for some advice and I have to say that you give good advice! The answer is always so obvious isn't it? ... and you tell it like it is! Many other sites give advice that is very bland and unreal and not to mention unhelpful. I'm not going to ask you for advice because you made me realize that I already know the answer but I didn't want to admit it ... so thanks for the breath of fresh air! (my friends are, as much as I love them, useless at times) and for the reminder to listen to the voice in my head cause it always knows the truth ... I wish you peace and prosperity in the New Year!

I just would like to say that I have read some of your advice. I must give it to you lady, you are indeed the realest and most straight forward person that I know ( I don't really know you). Your advice column is much needed. There are so many females and males who don't have anyone to talk to about their problems that bother them on a daily basis. I finally talked to my mom about my problems and (my dad is a doctor and really good at counseling girls with problems like I have) she made me talk to my dad about it. He decided that it was genetic because a lot of people in my family go through the whole thing about killing themselves and a few have. But they also go through major depression. So my dad gave me an anti-depressant and I just started it tonight so I hope it works.

Aalize, I think you are doing a great JOB!! I like the lingo you use in responding! A couple of weeks ago you had a letter about the 2 lesbians --- the girl had messed around w/her best friend and the new lover was unhappy about their friendship. The writer went on to say she really wanted to be w/her best friend. Remember that one?

This week I'm curious about the married lover one and the woman who claims all men think she is already taken. Between you and me, I think that is just a nice brush off because they are not really interested in dating her any how. I'm an attractive person and people say that sometimes, but usually they ask first. I have truly learned that attractiveness does not guarantee anything, NOT EVEN A DATE!!!
